Perhaps even more than the high-profile celebrities who are always seen photographed with children and puppies, my favorite stars are those who are difficult to Google. Indeed, I found it very challenging to find out about Justin Long’s charitable works. The perpetually-youthful actor apparently prefers to keep his applause-worthy efforts on the D.L.
Nevertheless, Long, who is known for his roles in films such as “Accepted” and “Drag Me to Hell,” likes to reach out to others as much as his fellow conspicuous celeb friends do.
In September, Long attended the 20th Anniversary Gala Celebration for the Skid Row Housing Trust, which provides housing for homeless people in L.A.
In August of last year, classic rock band The Who auctioned off signed memorabilia from a number of stars, including Tori Spelling, Hilary Duff, Tom Hanks, Tim McGraw, Bob Dylan, and of course, Justin Long.
Also, I heard recently that Long was a volunteer for Camp Boggy Creek, but until I verify that information, I won’t confirm it.
So, there you have it. Even the ones that lay low like to reach out. Stick around, guys. There will be another blog entry coming soon, later today!
