In the 2006 comedy “Knocked Up,” Katherine Heigl starred as an unexpectedly expectant mother. She was hilarious as both the foil and love interest of Seth Rogen’s character– the “baby daddy.”
Heigl’s real-life journey to motherhood was much more intentional. In September 2009, Katherine and her husband, singer Josh Kelley, adopted a baby girl with special needs from Korea.
She advocates for organ donation, and is also a strong supporter of Donate Life America. Heigl has backed GLAAD, (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation), Operation of Hope, which provides surgeries free of charge to children with “facial deformities.”
Finally, Heigl is a staunch activist for animal rights, and has worked extensively with the Best Friends Animal Society.
Well, I guess that’s really all I have to say right now. I had a long, but very good, day at UCF. I took a mid-term, and I got to connect with friends, old and new. What more could I ask for?

Thanks for making this blog a part of your day. I really mean that.
